Question - are the major flaws of Nat Prod Year 1962 colour specific? as mention in Woodstock or as stated in SG general to all colours and could anyone give further detail to SGs listing's of Ditto - what does this mean in relation to the flaws listed.

EFTA FLAG BREAK RETOUCH?

Does any member have any information regarding a possible retouch to the Portuguese flag in EFTAs issue SG716Pj (interestingly not mentioned in Woodstock). One example has a light black covering where normally there is a clear cut to the break. Any comments most welcome - Mike Unfortunately the site...

Re: Woodstock - 1958 Commonwealth Games flaw R2/6 - 1/3d green.

I guess its not the listed variety - maybe an open pore print, dry or poor quality, it does have the darken look of retouch but its not listed, I do have plenty of other examples of retouch without listing and non listed retouches.
Have a look - a second opinion would be good. Thanks - Mike

Woodstock - 1958 Commonwealth Games flaw R2/6 - 1/3d green.

Can any member provide information regarding Woodstocks listing of British Empire and Commonwealth Games value 1/3d from Cyl. 3 No Stop - R2/6, a background weakness - I have purchased a block on the off chance and not entirely sure if it shows the flaw or is from the other Cyl.

ARMY OVERPRINT POSITIONS

Being very lazy here and hoping to pick up some info without the tedious task of trawling the net - how was the overprinting (Army Official) undertaken on the 1d lilac, I have two pairs which both show the differing position of the overprint when compared to each other, all other pairs show the same...

Tony - have a look at this one - appears to be a roller flaw across the kings face while taking some of the surface print with it.

Re: Dry Print

SG does list a brown omitted but you do have a faint trace of colour suggesting either a dry as mentioned but unlikely, probably a very poor grade print colour - it would seem this period of printing was very heavily influenced by a lack of dedication to quality.

No - remember Branded with Chuck Connors - they break your twisters and throw them into the dirt at your feet - makes you want Woodstock to take over - Mike, but it could be time for massed protest as their catalogue does seem to be the generally accepted overall reference manual.
