Could somebody direct me to a book /article /website that gives a definitive account of British perfins please?

Thanks, Mike, but clicking on that link brings up a message that the page does not exist, and "Please report this dead link"
I will try a few variants on that link

Good! We need to fix a bug in the program which is preventing links from working.

Worth pointing out that the Tomkins catalogue only lists "identified" perfins (at the time of publication obviously) so is not a complete list.

The New Illustrated Catalogue (being published a letter at a time) lists all known perfins identified or otherwise:

Hi please note the GBPS Library holds various books and also the latest edition of the Perfin Society DVD is a valuable source for reference. Drop us a line , details on the website, if you would like to discuss.

Many thanks, at the moment I just drop all perfins in a large box labelled "perfins" and promise myself I will get to grips with the growing accumulation when I have the rest of my GB collection in order. This year my enthusiasm has meant that accumulation of fresh GB material has run ahead of sorting and writing up - but hopefully I can make a start on the perfins sometime next year. Will contact you then.

Good to know the GBPS is on the case
