Wilding 6d coil stamps

Post by mozzerb »

Does anyone have examples of (or images of) the Wilding 6d coils -- preferably the coil leaders? I'd like to get pictures for comparison purposes with a view to commenting on the use of this stamp to uprate registration envelopes in 1956 and 1961.

Hi,

not really my area of interest, but I wonder if there's anything to help in the file free for download at the Deegam website here

http://www.deegam.com/priced_cat.htm

There might also be something in the MCC Machin catalogue, which also includes specialised Wildings - I have a copy of the most recent edition and will have a look.

I took a look in that catalogue earlier and couldn't find an illustration -- very useful to have the information though, I agree!

This response is so late that it's not even laughable. The need for it is probably long gone, but here it is anyway.
