Displaying stamps from booklets

Post by Graham »

One of the first things I was told when I started collecting British stamps(50 odd years ago!) was that you can organise you collection how you want it to be. So, on that note , a basic question. How do you display stamps from booklets? Do you stick to the whole booklet, obtain and display the separate panes or do you go for individual stamps?

Of course you can display as you wish - however.....
To whom are you displaying - what?

A display is for a third party - if you make the display - you know what is there!

I have always displayed the whole book, then the back and inside covers - as appropriate. Followed by the pane(s)of stamps.

After this you can display variations to both booklet and cover(s) - plus flaws seen

Individual stamps, belong in a consideration of such stamps -- becuase booklets always included multiple stamps, in panes. Even though you may be able to differentiate between them

So you have a starting point, which can be expanded on as far as your pocket stretches.

Best of luck
