London double-rim c.d.s. in red

I'm posting this query on behalf of Rune Mikalski. This postcard has a LONDON E.C. double-rim datestamp in RED. Rune has never seen it like this, he says it's usually in black.

Neither of us can find this mark in Westley, and I can't find it in A and H nor Mackay. A quick look at the index to the London Postal History Group's Notebook didn't prove fruitful either.

Can anyone comment on this postmark, and it's use in red?

Mike, Allcock and Holland (page 328) do document this datestamp - found from the 1870s until early 20th century. They occur "at first in red but are later found in black".
