Hi everyone.
I am like most people, skill'LESS when it comes to plating a 1d red.
Could someone please help me plating a block of 9 Mint 1d reds.
Sadly they are badly creased so any advice on that would be welcome also.
The system will not let me attach the pic so check it on ebay, item 183798917896
Trying to post a link here as well......... https://www.ebay.com/itm/183798917896?s ... 1555.l2649
Thanks in advance.
Andy

I see listed in the Penny Blacks section. That was being rather optimistic of the lister - I expect somewhere in the Plate 60s region.

looking at stamp BE the B is very high and fits plates 62 and 68. But looking at the stamps around it it seems to fit with plate 68 best hope this helps.

jimw has hit the nail on the head. The positioning of these stamps on the plate can be useful for the plater. For example, stamp CE is positioned a little high. When you compare with the registration ('Imprimatur') sheets that you can view via http://www.gbps.org.uk/information/sour ... on-sheets/, that points you to Plate 68.

As to your query on the creasing, I'm not sure what advice you are seeking from us on this eBay item that I see is still currently listed for sale.
