Introduction

British Philatelist articles are listed on a single page for each volume, with the page numbers, titles and authors (if recorded) listed by issue. There were twelve issues per volume, published monthly (with the exception of volume 37, during which there was a two-year break in publication during 1944-46 after the death of Charles Nissen).

Titles of features that appeared on a regular basis are highlighted in a different colour. These were typically short notes on a variety of topics that had come to hand, which appeared under a variety of names over the years – "New Issues & Discoveries", "Notes", "Discoveries & Notes", "Editorial", "Current Notes", and "Occasional Notes".
