A Simplified Listing of British Postal Stationery 1840 to 2007

This publication is designed to introduce the subject to collectors in a simplified way while retaining the established approach to the classification published previously (A. K. Huggins, British Postal Stationery, A Priced Handbook of the Postal Stationery of Great Britain, Great Britain Philatelic Society, 1970). The listings have been updated, and to facilitate identification each section includes the relevant stamps and formats which are illustrated in colour.

This new listing of British postal stationery covers all issues from 1840 to the present day, including Post Office, Official and private items. It is illustrated in colour throughout with the lists clearly set out in a logical format so that collectors can easily identify items in their possession.

The 14 page introduction gives a definition of, and a brief history of the development of postal stationery, with details of how the listing has been constructed. In most cases prices are given against items for mint and used condition, unless there are too few items on the market for realistic prices to be given.

Size A4, casebound with jacket, 164 pp. colour illustrations throughout. ISBN 978-0-907630-22-7. Published 2007 jointly with the Postal Stationery Society.
